Ashdown House East Wing Development, Ashdown House School, Forest Row, Sussex.

I have been meaning to write to you for some weeks with regard to the above project but it has unfortunately been pushed to the bottom of the pile. I visited Ashdown just before Christmas and must say the completed building looks absolutely superb.

What you both achieved at Ashdown House was incredible to say the least. Under a very severe time constraint you delivered, without fuss, the swimming pool block on time as promised. As you know the completion of this block on time from the schools point of view was crucial to their fund raising campaign and overall credibility. You didn't let them down!

The second phase involving the construction of the dormitory block went equally well and key elements were handed over to the Client to suit the school running.

Your company has demonstrated the essential requirements in a construction company which makes for a happy and successful project - personal involvement of the directors, good overall workmanship, pride in the work undertaken and limited contractual paperwork.

I have thoroughly enjoyed working with you both and your colleagues at Elston Developments throughout the contract and value the relationship which developed.

You have helped enormously in creating a building which the school and this practice are proud of.

I sincerely hope that this is but one of many projects which we will be involved in together in years to come.

Dear Mr. Nutter, (both!),

We are of course grateful to you for the efforts you have been making to help us through this cashflow problem. All this has overshadowed the tremendous achievement that you have made in being up to date with the completion time for the pool. Other companies got nowhere near your promised timescale and I suspect many people would have felt that you could not have managed it. I really do congratulate you both and your workforce and we are very excited to think that we will be swimming there at the end of this month.

I hope very much that things will go according to plan over the next two or three days so that we can continue uninterrupted our joint efforts!
